My second Nepal tour was sometimes exhausting and difficult.
One first day we wanted to take the bus from Kathmandu to the mountain near Ganesh Himal that was a great adventure and bone-breaking ride because the bus crashed sometime into the mountainside. The road then became increasingly worse and at a height of 1400 meters it was broken. From here we have to walk some kilometers to a village about 1600 meter height, were we stay the first night.
The next morning, the weather was more wet and rainy, we walk to our first camp at 2000 meters height. Some leeches were a constant companion and we had it often on our legs.
After two days we walk the whole day up to our second camp at 2500 meter height. There was a oak forest.
Our third camp then we make on a height of about 2700 meter. We have also to walk the whole day and cross some pasture and some difficult steep paths. Most of the trees in this area are rhododendron.
The way to our fourth camp is again very long and sometimes difficult, because we have to cross some small rivers and waterfalls, after them we have a long and steep path to our camp of about 3400 meter height.
We stay 3 days on a altitude over 3000 meter and it was amazing how big some trees become in these height area, most of them are fir tree and rhododendrons, than we go down to our fifth camp on a height of about 2900 meter.
From our last camp we have to walk down for 3 days on a difficult path with many waterfalls and small rivers and we past some villages and on the third day we can get one truck to go down in the valley from there we can go back to Kathmandu by mini-van.
